Double Standards in the Media is Bullshit

Posted by ekkin on Friday, May 4, 2007

Okay, I am a BIG Imus fan, I know I know, I am such a republican, but I can’t help but love him. (And his cowboy hat). I use to get up at 5 am every morning and watch him while I was in high school. Anyway, as you know he got fired for saying that the women players for the Rutgers team were “nappy-headed hos”. I think it was funny, not in a racist way, but in a hahaha, you just got called a ho way. I have nappy hair and I am white. But I guess that doesn’t matter. Anyway, that’s not what this blog is about. Now here’s a little number that a black person (Micheal Irving) said about a white football player…. “He doesn’t look like he’s that type of an athlete. But he is. He is, man. I don’t know … some brother down in that line somewhere … I don’t know who saw what or where, his great-great-great-great-grandma ran over in the ‘hood or something went down.” Yeah, but that isn’t racist because it was being said about a white person. ONCE AGAIN I AM GOING TO SAY THIS, RACISM IS NOT TO BE GENERALIZED JUST FOR WHITE PEOPLE. BLACK PEOPLE ARE JUST AS FUCKING RACIST. But does he get in trouble? Does he get fucking fired? No he doesn’t. But Imus does. That is complete and total bullshit. Which brings me to another point, if a white man were dragged behind a pickup truck by three black guys, would there be as big of a shit storm as there was in Jasper, Texas in 96? It was 96 right? I am from that area and can’t even remember…. Anyway, I don’t think so. If a white man were beat by black cops and it was caught on tape, would it become national news, probably not. Why? Because the most racist people in America are NOT white. Black people yell for equal rights (which they freaking already have) but the truth is they want more than everyone else. They want to be the exception to every freaking rule. I am sick of it. I am NOT racist, but I know I will be called so. I am just mad that Imus gets fired but no one fucking cares about what Micheal Irving said. How about some equality?

Don’t worry Nikke, I’m sooo with you. It’s total BS what we have to deal with.

The opposer’s of course are probably talking about car wrecks or something, ya know if you bump into a black person in southeast Texas you are committing a hate crime. Yet a black man can rape a white person and it never makes the news.
The worst part is James Byrd Jr. was a crack head, looking for drugs and tried to screw over the wrong people… it wouldn’t have mattered if he was kin, they were pissed, I don’t care what color you are, you screw me over… I get pay back. If you search for Jasper, Texas on Wikipedia, James Byrd is ACTUALLY listed as a famous person on there! (although I have a wiki login and I think I might delete him from that, or at least make a fuss about it!) If anyone thinks I’m racist, I challenge you to ask me why… I want Southeast Texas back!

HAHAHAHA… I just searched Jasper on Wiki and saw that SOMEONE (god bless them) DELETED the crack head know as James Byrd and replaced him with legitimate people, ya know, people who actually did something with there lives… YAY!! :)

Hey I wonder is under this “James Byrd Jr Hate Crimes Act” if I were killed by a black man would he get a stiffer punishment? Because I bet they only consider it a hate crime when a white person kills a black man. Otherwise it’s just murder.

I don’t like Don Imus as a performer, and wouldn’t listen to him if I could, but you are right. He got a raw deal. The reason he got away with his show as long as he did was because he had powerful guests.

You notice no one reacted much at first. His sponcers abandoned him when it appeared they would lose money on his show, not because they thought he did much wrong.

That minorities can’t be racists because they are an oppressed minority is stupid. Blacks are discrimitated against, but to let them use words and terms the rest of us can’t is hypocracy and reverse racism. Imus shouldn’t have been fired especially when the likes of Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton came off his moral superiors.
